In receiving the award Doug said  " It is a great honor to receive this award, and most importantly  "The alcohol ignition interlock will greatly impact the drinking and driving problem in Ontario." "We have all seen the devastating toll of destruction drunk drivers have unleashed on our roads."  "The countless number of victims that have been seriously injured and killed in twisted crashes caused by people who persist in driving after they have been drinking is heartbreaking."--Doug Abernethy
